Mr Shrikkanth Rangarajan (Raj) is a Melbourne-based vascular surgeon with a depth of experience and qualification. Mr Rangarajan offers treatment for all vascular pathologies, both venous and arterial. He is proficient in all the latest modalities for managing varicose veins and has wide experience in a variety of techniques associated with minimally invasive and open surgical management of aortic and peripheral arterial pathology.
Mr Rangarajan is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons specialising in Vascular Surgery. He completed undergraduate studies at Monash University, then went on to train within well-respected institutions in Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland.
Mr Rangarajan has an active clinical practice and is an advocate for continued learning within the vascular community. Mr Rangarajan, along with his counterparts at Yarra Vascular Surgeons, regularly host workshops with international experts to treat complex venous and arterial conditions. These workshops are designed to share valuable knowledge and improve patient outcomes.
With a military and legal background, Mr Rangarajan has served on overseas operations as a member of the Australian Army and has been awarded the Australian Defence Medal and the Australian Service Medal. Mr Rangarajan completed his law degree and worked at a health law firm, helping clients within the health industry achieve their goals. Most recently, Mr Rangarajan become a member of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons Medico-Legal section.
Mr Rangarajan enjoys tennis, cricket and watching motorsport. He is a keen scuba diver and loves to travel. His wife is a dentist and makes sure that both he and their two young children brush their teeth every night!
