Dr Nathan Anderson is an orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in the spine, spinal surgery and spinal disorders. He currently practices at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Dr Anderson is experienced in a wide range of spinal conditions such as spinal tumours, spinal trauma, disc prolapse, adult scoliosis correction, and lumbar and cervical degenerative disease.
He graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medical Sciences. He later went on to complete his Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy at the University of Melbourne. Dr Anderson completed his RACS/AOA Orthopaedic Surgical Training program and obtained his fellowship across Victorian and Tasmanian institutions.
Dr Anderson was awarded the RM Biggins Prize for Clinical Medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital and the Howard Award for Excellence at St Patrick’s College. Dr Anderson remains at top of his field, publishing research papers in both the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine and the ANZ Journal of Surgery. He has also published case reports in the International Journal of Surgery Case Reports and the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
Dr Anderson is available for appointments in relation to independent medical examinations, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters, total permanent disability and medical negligence claims.
