Mr Brett Moreira completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor Surgery after completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours at the University of Melbourne. He has also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma of Surgical Anatomy at the University of Melbourne. Mr Moreira completed the orthopaedic training program at regional and metropolitan hospitals in Victoria and is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association. Currently he holds an appointment as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Epworth Hospital Richmond, Melbourne.
Mr Moreira has undertaken research in hip and knee orthopaedic conditions with publications and presentations in national and international orthopaedic forums.
Mr Moreira maintains current professional development certification and has taken an active role in medical student teaching.
Mr Moreira has worked with multiple sports teams and maintains an interest in physical health and fitness.
Mr Moreira is available for appointments in relation to independent medical examinations, impairment assessment, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters, total and permanent disability and medical negligence claims. Mr Moreira is available for complex case discussion, file review and telemedicine assessments.
