Dr Janet Hsuan is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specialising in foot, ankle and knee surgery. Located in Melbourne, Dr Hsuan is currently a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Eastern Health, Box Hill Hospital.
Dr Janet Hsuan completed undergraduate studies at The University of Melbourne, then went on to complete further medical studies at the University of Tasmania, graduating with honours and receiving the Tasmanian School of Medicine Elective Prize. Dr Hsuan’s orthopaedic training was completed across multiple metro and regional Victorian hospitals. In 2015, Dr Hsuan undertook a Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the Cheltenham General Hospital, United Kingdom, to further advance her training and knowledge.
Dr Hsuan is an advocate of training and teaching and is currently the AOA Director of Training for Box Hill Hospital. She is also the Medical Students’ Coordinator for Orthopaedics at Box Hill Hospital. Throughout her medical career, Dr Hsuan has also held multiple tutoring positions at The University of Melbourne and The University of Tasmania.
Dr Janet Hsuan has also played a key role at the Monash University Rugby Union Club, as the Team Doctor from 2003–2013.
Dr Hsuan is available for a variety of medicolegal matters including independent medical examinations, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters and total permanent disability.
