Dr Janan Chandrananth is an orthopaedic surgeon, with a keen interest in foot, ankle and knee surgery. His orthopaedic training has provided great insight and experience into diverse reconstructive procedures, sporting injuries, degenerative conditions, deformity correction and congenital issues.
Dr Janan Chandrananth completed his undergraduate medical training at The University of Melbourne in 2012. He went on to complete his orthopaedic fellowship training across multiple New South Wales and Canberra institutions, also including a rotation in the USA at the Shriners Hospital for Children, and was awarded his fellowship in 2021.
Dr Janan Chandrananth continually contributes to the medical industry through research, publications and industry events. He additionally held multiple teaching and mentor roles for medical students in Sydney before moving back to Melbourne in 2022. He is part of The University of Melbourne’s MDHS Mentorship program for medical students.
Outside of work, Dr Chandrananth has trained in martial arts, being awarded the Bushido cross and black belt second dan in Karate.
Dr Janan Chandrananth is available for appointments in relation to independent medical examinations, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters and total permanent disability. He is available for complex case discussion, file review and telemedicine assessments.
