Dr Polyakov is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, with a subspecialty interest in reproductive health and IVF. He also had a keen medicolegal interest, holding a Masters in Health and Medical Law. He also has obtained Masters Degrees in Clinical Epidemiology, Reproductive Health, and is undertaking a PhD in Ethical issues in Reproductive Medicine at Melbourne University.
He is currently engaged in clinical practice as the Deputy Head of Department at the Royal Women’s Hospital, in the Reproductive Biology Unit; in addition to a busy clinical practice at Melbourne IVF and Epworth Hospitals. He specialises in both laparoscopic and open techniques to assist with reproduction and fertility.
Dr Polyakov additionally is a member of the Royal Women’s Hospital Human Research and Ethics Board, he also sits on the Medical Advisory Boards of Ferring Pharmaceuticals and Merck & Co. He holds a current teaching appointment as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne.
