Dr Garibotto is an Australian-trained General Surgeon with expertise in Breast, Endocrine and General Surgery subspecialties, and she is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. She has completed a 2-year accredited Breast Surgery fellowship at Royal Perth Hospital and Wollongong Hospitals. She is undertaking a Masters in Advanced Surgery (Breast) at the University of Sydney, where she also teaches medical students.
Dr Garibotto has undertaken a role as a facilitator of a neck dissection workshop at the University of Western Australia, and worked as an anatomy demonstrator. Her recent research includes an audit of targeting axillary dissection after neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer and the impact of breast cancer treatments on mammography. Dr Garibotto has presented at national and international conferences in the field of breast and thyroid cancers. She is interested in medical education and has a collegial and collaboration approach in her clinical interactions and endeavours.
Dr Garibotto maintains a current certificate of professional development with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
