Mr Benjamin Privett is a General Surgeon with sub-speciality training in hepatic (liver), pancreatic and biliary surgery. He is currently consulting at the Frankston Hospital and Sunshine Hospital, and holds a part-time role in Emergency General Surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Mr Privett went on to complete his General Surgery training across Victoria and New South Wales, being awarded fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2018. Mr Privett then continued his surgical training and specialised in Hepatopancreatobiliary surgery (HPB surgery).
Mr Benjamin Privett has been a keen contributor to the medical field, publishing numerous papers and medical journals. Mr Privett is also an Associate Lecturer at Monash University and a reviewer for the ANZ Journal of Surgery.
Outside of work, Mr Privett gives back to the community through volunteer work with Fareshare. He also enjoys the lighter side of life, once being a writer and performer in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Mr Privett is available for appointments in relation to independent medical examinations, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters, total permanent disability and medical negligence claims. He is also available for complex case discussion, file review and telemedicine assessments.
