Ms Emma Grixti is a registered nurse currently holding dual roles at Werribee Mercy Hospital and The Royal Children’s Hospital. As Associate Nurse Unit Manager, Ms Grixti is responsible for managing and directing a team of nursing staff to ensure the care of paediatric patients. As Recovery Clinical Nurse Specialist at The Royal Children’s Hospital, Ms Grixti cares for paediatric patients post anaesthetic and is responsible for developing systems to improve processes and procedures. She values the place of leadership and research in providing positive experiences and better outcomes for her patients.
Ms Emma Grixti completed her Bachelor of Nursing at Deakin University and then began her graduate nursing program at Werribee Mercy Hospital in 2009. Throughout her nursing career, Ms Grixti has gained valuable experience across multiple areas of expertise including general medicine, intensive care, anaesthetics, elective surgery and paediatric nursing. She has also held management roles within many of these positions.
Ms Grixti currently facilitates training of graduate and undergraduate nursing students at Werribee Mercy Hospital. She is also active in continually developing her nurse training, attending professional development days and presenting at medical conferences.
