Dr Mitchell Anderson is a Melbourne based Sports Doctor. His key areas of interests include diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation with a focus on musculoskeletal injuries and minor procedural work, including a novel treatment for plantar fasciitis. As director of Shinbone Medical, Dr Anderson employs a holistic approach to treating his patients, balancing the mind and body with the diagnosis and rehabilitation plan.

Dr Mitchell Anderson started his medical career by completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne in 1997, then went on to complete a Bachelor of Science. By 2006 Dr Anderson completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Melbourne. Most recently Dr Anderson has completed a Diploma of Surgical Anatomy.

Dr Anderson also maintains a role as an Assistant Orthopaedic Surgeon, supporting in hip, knee, shoulder and foot and ankle procedures. Dr Anderson is also an avid researcher, public and motivational speaker, providing insights and learnings on key topics.

Outside of his medical professional life, Dr Anderson has achieved some remarkable sporting highlights. He was a Professional Triathlete for 12 years, competing in numerous Ironman competitions and World Championships, with highlights including winning IM Western Australia and placing 11th at the World Championships. Additionally, Dr Anderson holds the 24hour and 12hour Outdoor Cycling World Records.
