Biography

Dr Clare Wu is a Sydney based gastroenterologist and hepatologist, specialising in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, GORD, Chronic Liver Disease, and H. pylori management. Dr Wu currently holds private consulting positions at both the Sydney Gut Clinic and Alexandria Day Specialist Hospital.

Dr Wu studied medicine at the University of Auckland, then relocated to Sydney and completed her fellowship across a number of reputable Sydney institutions including Westmead Hospital and St Vincent’s Public Hospital. During her time at Westmead Hosptial, Dr Wu completed her endoscopic training under the renowned Professor Michael Bourke.

Dr Clare Wu is also a dedicated academic, having been featured for her work on Sessile Colonic Polyps, utility of infliximab drug level testing and skin cancers in inflammatory bowel disease in peer reviewed journals. She was also the proud recipient of a postgraduate fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital in 2017, choosing Inflammatory Bowel Disease therapy and Skin Cancer as her focus of research.

Dr Clare Wu is available for bookings in relation to independent medical examinations, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters, total permanent disability and medical negligence claims. She is also available for complex case discussion, file review and telemedicine assessments.
