Dr Yazbek completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours. He is a member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, the Abdominal Radiology Group of Australia and New Zealand and the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology. His specialty areas include Body, Neuroradiology and Head and Neck imaging. Dr Yazbek has undertaken an additional fellow year at The Alfred Hospital in MRI radiology, and attended the Erasmus Course on MRI of the head and neck in Belgium.
Dr Yazbek is currently appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at Epworth Hospital Richmond, where he conducts the combined Surgical, Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary multidisciplinary team meeting. His interventional radiology expertise extends to all Tier A procedures, including spinal, musculoskeletal and body interventions.
Dr Yazbek has published in international journals on thoracic and abdominal radiology and has presented at national meetings. He has also received the Epworth Alma Johnston Study Scholarship.
Dr Yazbek is available for appointments in relation to independent medical radiology examination, complex case discussion, medical negligence opinion and file review.
