Ms Louisa King is an experienced Occupational Therapist and has been practicing as an Occupational Therapist since 2002. Following completion of a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Ms King obtained a Master of Occupational Therapy specialising in pain management and driver rehabilitation.
Ms King’s early practicing years were within Peninsula Health across a range of sites, including acute hospitals, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, and then finally within the rehabilitation in the home progra. This started her interest in home-based assessment and therapy. Ms King commenced private practice in 2005 and has been working within this sector since.
Community Occupational Therapy was established in 2013, after Ms King saw the need for increased demand for services to be provided within an individual's home environment. She now manages a team of 13 experienced Occupational Therapists, and maintains a varied caseload of orthopaedic, neurological, spinal and aged clients. Ms King specialises in minor and major home modifications, equipment prescription and driver assessment and rehabilitation. She has an excellent understanding of the complexity of the compensable systems from which many clients are referred.
