Ms Gerard Reyes is a registered midwife with experience across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care. She specialises in high risk assessments, obstetric emergencies and leadership in delivery suite operations.
Ms Reyes holds a Bachelor of Midwifery from Charles Darwin University and is certified in Neonatal Life Support, Foetal Surveillance and Newborn Examination.
Being in leadership roles since 2022, Ms Reyes has served as Delivery Suite Team Leader as well as Acting Safety and Quality Clinical Midwife Consultant. Ms Reyes has contributed to clinical governance, incident reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
She currently works as an N3 Clinical Midwife at Royal Darwin Hopsital. Her areas of interest include maternity safety, culturally sensitive care and improving patients experience. She is involved in national initiatives such as the Australian Preterm Birth Prevention Alliance.
