Biography

Ms Emily Kong is a qualified and highly trained orthopaedic surgeon. She completed undergraduate medical training in Melbourne, graduating with Honours. Ms Kong completed the Orthopaedic training program in Victoria and thereafter undertook additional fellowship training at Royal Perth Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in Perth, Western Australia and at Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand.

Ms Kong holds a public appointment at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, where she undertakes spine surgery including the treatment of spinal trauma and elective spinal conditions. She has worked for many years at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, performing paediatric orthopaedic surgery including management of general paediatric and adolescent trauma and the treatment of complex spinal deformities.

Ms Kong provides thorough, detailed and accurate medical assessments and reports and is available for bookings in relation to independent medical examinations, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters, total permanent disability and medical negligence claims. Ms Kong is consulting from the Richmond head office. She is also available for complex case discussion, file review and telemedicine assessments.
