Biography

Dr Kosta Calligeros is an orthopaedic surgeon with a keen interest in reconstruction and trauma. Having trained both internationally and Australia wide, Dr Calligeros now resides in Melbourne and operates at Monash Health in Dandenong and Peninsula Health Frankston Hospital.

Dr Calligeros completed his fellowship in 2012 after rotating through a range of specialist unites across Australia, the US and UK. Dr Calligeros went on to complete post fellowship training in adult lower limb arthroplasty and paediatrics at Monash Health. Deciding to continue his training overseas, Dr Calligeros completed further training at the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh in the areas of revision arthroplasty, tumour, soft tissue and trauma.

Dr Calligeros is an active contributor to his field, with many research and published articles relating to orthopaedics.

Dr Calligeros is available for bookings in relation to independent medical examinations, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters and total permanent disability. Dr Calligeros is also available for complex case discussion, telemedicine assessment and file review.
