Dr Iswadi Damasena is an Australian trained Orthopaedic surgeon specialising in the treatment of hip and knee conditions. Dr Damasenda graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of Tasmania and then continued Orthopaedic training in the Western Australian Orthopaedic training program. He has also completed a Diploma of Surgical Anatomy.
Dr Damasena undertook a fellowship at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire in complex knee surgery including knee arthroplasty and management of knee sports conditions. He has also undertaken a fellowship at Orthosport Victoria including management of complex knee reconstructive techniques. Dr Damasena has an active clinical practice at Box Hill Hospital, Eastern Health and Epworth Eastern Hospital in Box Hill. He has undertaken multiple research projects studying hip and knee surgical techniques.
A keen sportsman, Dr Damasena enjoys running and recently completed the London and New York Marathons.
Dr Damasena is available for bookings in relation to independent medical examinations, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters, total permanent disability and medical negligence claims. Dr Damasena is also available for complex case discussion, telemedicine assessment and file review.
