Dr Guy Marquis is an internationally-trained orthopaedic surgeon based in Hobart, Tasmania. Dr Marquis has a comprehensive knowledge of arthroscopic surgery and arthroplasty, treating conditions and injuries of the shoulder, knee and hip.
Completing his medical studies at the University of Tasmania, Dr Marquis was awarded fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1993. He then embarked on further training, completing a sports orthopaedic fellowship in Perth, joint arthroplasty fellowship in Oxford, UK, and an AO travelling trauma fellowship in Germany.
Dr Guy Marquis operates privately in Hobart and also has a public appointment at the Royal Hobart Hospital. He is chair of the Calvary Health Care Orthopaedic Subcommittee and an assessor for the Tasmanian Audit Surgical Mortality. Dr Marquis has been a prominent figure at the University of Tasmania, fulfilling multiple lecture roles throughout the years. He is also a regular speaker at AOA Annual Scientific Meetings.
Dr Marquis has published multiple scientific papers and presented these at peer meetings and conferences.
