A/Prof Pierre Bradley is a specialist anaesthetist who has been based at The Alfred Hospital for more than 15 years. A leader in the development of advanced airway management guidelines, he is currently the State Airway Lead for Tasmania and Victoria and Victorian Perioperative Consultative Council Anaesthetic Subcommittee. Clinically, A/Prof Bradley subspecialises in anaesthesia and perioperative medicine for high-risk medical patients requiring complex surgery. His clinical interests include airway management, neurosurgery including complex spines and cerebral aneurysms, vascular surgery including interventional radiology, endocrine surgery including neuroendocrine tumours such as phaeochromocytoma, orthopaedics, and trauma, plastic and reconstructive surgery in both the elective and emergency setting.
A/Prof Bradley completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at University of Dundee, United Kingdom in 1994, and a Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) in 2005. He has completed extensive additional specialised training throughout Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom including perioperative medicine and anaesthesia courses.
A/Prof Bradley has worked collaboratively in various industries in the broader healthcare sector, providing clinical insight and knowledge. He has provided expertise as a reviewer of journals and articles on anaesthesia and airway emergencies, including for the British Journal of Anaesthesia and ANZCA Professional Guidance documents. He has also worked on the development of resources in airway complication and management for medical practitioner training.
A/Prof Bradley is available for appointments in relation to independent medical examinations, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters, total permanent disability and medical negligence claims. A/Prof Bradley is also available for complex case discussion, file review and telemedicine assessments.
