Dr Sarah Abrahamson is a Rehabilitation Physician with extensive experience in insurance and medicolegal matters. Dr Abrahamson's expertise includes file reviews and advising on indemnity issues, insurance liability and funding. Dr Abrahamson has a keen interest in medical law and the importance of providing quality medicolegal assessments.
Dr Sarah Abrahamson completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Otago, New Zealand, in 1997. She was then awarded her Royal Australasian College of Physicians fellowship in 2006 after completing advanced training in Rehabilitation Medicine. During this time, Dr Abrahamson embarked on further studies at Monash University Melbourne, receiving her Graduate Diploma of Clinical Epidemiology.
Dr Sarah Abrahamson holds a consulting position at The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre, treating both inpatients and outpatients with a range of acute conditions. Dr Abrahamson has a special interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and neurological rehabilitation.
Dr Abrahamson is a TAC Clinical Panel Consultant, assessing complex TAC claims and the funding required for ongoing treatment. Dr Abrahamson has been involved with the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine since 2010 as a marker, and is currently an examiner for the Australian Medical Council.
