Ms Hien Nguyen is a Melbourne-based psychologist who has worked in Government and private settings. She has experience treating a range of psychological presentation, including anxiety, depression, psychosis, addiction, work stress, burnout, and relationship issues. She has worked with young children, adolescents and their families in school settings, supporting them through academic performance difficulties and social challenges.
Ms Nguyen completed a Bachelor of Applied Psychology with Honours at Deakin University in 2008, a Master of Psychology (Counselling) at Monash University in 2013, and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at Swinburne University in 2022.
Ms Nguyen is currently Principal Psychologist at Mood and Mind Psychology, Melbourne. She provides both brief and long-term counselling for children, adolescents, and adults. Areas of interest are emergency services support, trauma, PTSD, sleep disturbances, mood disorders, personality disorder, addiction, perinatal mental health and others. She has worked with Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria providing post-critical incident support, trauma treatment, and wellbeing assessments, and has conducted psychological pre-employment assessments.
Ms Nguyen is available for appointments in relation to independent medical examinations, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters, total permanent disability and medical negligence claims. She is also available for complex case discussion, file review and telemedicine assessments.
