Dr Wai Foong Hooi is a Melbourne-based neurologist with a special interest in movement disorders. Dr Hooi’s expertise extends to Parkinson’s disease, tremors and dystonia, as well as other neurological conditions such as headache disorders, stroke and epilepsy. Dr Hooi is also a trained Botulinum toxin injector, providing treatment and relief for neurological conditions such as migraine, dystonia, facial spasms and post-stoke spasticity.
Dr Hooi graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2008. He then went on to undertake further training at a number of well-respected Victorian hospitals, attaining dual subspecialty fellowship in Neurology and General and acute care medicine with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He was awarded memberships to the London Royal College of Physicians and Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2017.
Dr Wai Foong Hooi holds public appointments at Austin Health and Northern Health, whilst also consulting privately at Malvern Neurology and Eastern Neurology.
