Dr Gabriel Dabscheck is a specialist Paediatric Neurologist and Epileptologist. He is located in Melbourne, working at the Royal Children’s Hospital within the Neurology department. He runs the Emergency Seizure Clinic and Neuro-Oncology Clinic and is also the clinical lead in the Neurofibromatosis Program.
Dr Gabriel Dabscheck completed his medical studies at the University of Melbourne and was award his fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2011. Dr Dabscheck trained in paediatrics at The Royal Children’s Hospital and paediatric neurology at Sydney Children’s Hospital, and completed adult neurology training at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. He completed a clinical fellowship in epilepsy and neurophysiology at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, in Massachusetts, USA, along with a clinical fellowship in Neurofibromatosis 1 and Neuro-oncology at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
Dr Gabriel Dabscheck heads a MRFF funded national research study about the genomics of tumors in NF1. He is active in clinical and scientific research and has many joint research projects with the Neurofibromatosis Research Program, the Neuroscience research program at MCRI/RCH, and the Children’s Epilepsy Program at RCH. Dr Dabscheck is continually publishing papers and publications within his field.
Dr Gabriel Dabscheck is available for appointments in relation to independent medical examinations, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters, total permanent disability and medical negligence claims. He is also available for complex case discussion, file review and telemedicine assessments.
